TRAINING

Often I’ve seen companies with accurate, perfectly written policies and procedures securely fastened in a manual. Unfortunately, they are not readily accessible or understood by the management staff who may need to enforce them. Managers need to be able to lean on the foundation of solid policies and procedures. Without preparedness, prevention, and skill-based training, the policies lose their value.

The fire department has everything in place so that when the alarm sounds, everything is good to go. You’ll want to be as prepared to take on the tough issues and...

  • prevent possible problems;
  • recognize real problems; and
  • know the steps to take to appropriately address situations.

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”
- Benjamin Franklin
